We managed to showcase the game which shall be our thesis project. People seemed to like it. One friend who streams on twitch said it would be great friend slop (a term I despise but I agree with the sentiment.) I've come into the presence of a lot more muslims, and naturally I've decided that I should try to give the Qur'an a shot as a courtesy. I don't intend to convert, as my current spirituality is quite antithetical to holding one god above all else, but as a very important text to many people that I now happen to know and like I should probably at least be able to say that I've read it.
So far I'm in Al-Baqarah, and it's proving to be a bit of a slog. Admittedly, reading a holy book tends to be that way, but this surah just goes on about random laws, responses to critiques and hypocrites, a few stories we would recognize from the Old Testament, Jesus gets mentioned; it's all over the place. I've been told that this is the longest surah, and it gets better from here, so I'll stick with it.
